| | | ORGANISATION OF THE COLLEGE
The initial core of six founding members of the ECVD was formed by invited specialists selected by the honorary members of the ESVD, Dr. George Muller, Dr. Robert Kirk, Dr. Peter Ihrke and Dr. Danny Scott from the initiators of veterinary dermatology in Europe, according to their recognised clinical skill, contributions to research and teaching, and dedication to the discipline.
The college is governed and administered according to the ECVD Constitution and By-laws by the ECVD Board, which is maintained by elections held at the Annual General Meeting of the College.
Today all candidates are required to take the ECVD examination. An education committee evaluates and approves residency programs, and an examination committee is responsible setting up and validating the examinations with the authority of the ECVD Board.
